The New Ghost Voltage Busting Multimeter from EFO Automatically Busts Ghost Voltages Presenting a LoZ low impedance voltage input to the circuit to bleed off any potential ghost voltages the GBM1000 automatically switches to a high impedance input for increased user safety and measurement accuracy.

Ghost Voltage Busting 

Ghost Voltages are caused by stray capacitances in the wiring circuits being measured . For example if a wire is open circuit but is next to a wire with mains voltages, by capacitive coupling a voltage will be induced on the open circuit wire. A normal DMM has an input resistance of 10M Ohms, which is too high to supress this voltage, consequenty a DMM can measure a high voltage on this open circuit wire. The Ghost voltage is not dangerous because it is low current. To reduce the induced voltage a DMM with a low input impedance is required.
However a low input impedance is not desirable when measuring high voltages.
