Lithium-Ion Fire Extinguisher 4 Litre
The Wormald F500 Lithium-Ion Fire Extinguisher provides protection against a Lithium-Ion fire. It contains a multiple-purpose firefighting agent which is ideal for Class A, B and F fire. It is the only agent proven to extinguish fires of lithium-ion batteries without reignition. The Encapsulator Agent, when mixed with water, works by encapsulating a water-droplet and enhancing its natural cooling effect. When directed at a lithium-ion battery fire it also provides a blanket to drastically reduce toxic smoke emissions.

ENCAPSULATION
Encapsulator Technology doesn’t simply put a bandage on the issue at hand. By removing the flammability of the electrolyte and encapsulating the fuel, F500 drastically reduces the risk of reignition.
RAPID COOLING
Independent testing has shown that F500 rapidly reduces temperature, effectively stopping thermal runaway. This is crucial during lithium-ion fires as every second counts. Each second lost could translate into more and more neighbouring cells rupturing, causing multiple explosions and putting lives on the line. F500 reduces toxins, including hydrogen fluoride.
TOXIN REDUCTION
This is especially important for lithium-ion fires as the battery’s vapours can be life threatening. When lithium-ion batteries burn, they emit toxic fluoride gasses. Testing shows that when F500is used, these gasses are drastically reduced.
This extinguisher has been manufactured and tested to Australian standards as AS/NZS 1841.2, and tested as per the requirement of AS1850 for class A, B and F fires. Extensive testing has been performed, and this encapsulator agent, performs exceptionally well against lithium-ion battery fires. The 4 litre extinguisher has been tested to a lithium-ion battery fire with 2.4kwh battery capacity, while the 9 litre extinguisher has been tested to a li-ion battery fire with 4.8kwhbattery capacity. This extinguisher is not to be used on ac power(100v ac or higher) electrical fires.
